Just popping in with a personal update. June Christina Dugan arrived on 9/8 tipping the scales at 5 lbs 15 oz. We are happy, healthy and home adjusting to living as a family of 4. I haven’t taken many shots with my “big camera” (as Maisie calls it) but the other day I forced myself to take a few minutes to capture these lazy, hazy newborn day-sies!
This little bug. Leading up to her birth I couldn’t imagine loving anyone as much as I love 2 year old Maisie. Now a mere 10 days later I can’t (and don’t want to!) remember life before June. She’s got such a funny and chill little way about her. So different from her big sister already.
For the longest time, my husband and I could NOT decide on a name for this baby. We were totally stuck.
Both of my pregnancies were difficult, but getting June here was especially horrific. On June 1st of this year I woke up and, for the first time in almost 5 months, I did not get sick. I saw a teeny tiny light flickering at the end of the hell tunnel and I knew I would survive. Later that day I suggested the name “June” to Joe and it just stuck.
Teeny, tiny and perfect little fingers.
It’s hard for me to articulate how proud I am of this big girl, and how I thankful I am for the guy sitting next to her.
My cup runneth over! I’ll be back to blogging regular sessions in a few weeks, but for now I thought I’d share some images from my current point of view.
